Youth Basketball
For our 2025 Fall Season, we’ve redesigned YMCA Youth Basketball with one goal in mind: help kids build confidence through fundamentals first.
Too often, kids are thrown straight into games before they’re ready. At the Y, we believe learning the basics — dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork — sets the foundation for success. By focusing on skills first, your child develops confidence on the court, making gameplay more fun and rewarding when they’re ready for league play.
Our new three-level pathway grows with your child:

Fundamentals (Ages 4–6): Skills only, no games. Ends with a Parent Night + Skills Showcase.

Junior League (Ages 7–9): Introduces structured games in a supportive environment.

Varsity League (Ages 10–12): Competitive league play with coaching, teamwork, and a playoff tournament.
At every level, kids are learning, growing, and having fun — the way youth sports should be.

Basic Fundamentals (4-6 Yrs Old)
For Fall 2025, we’ve redesigned YMCA Youth Basketball to give kids the best start on the court — fundamentals first, games later.
In our Fundamentals Program (Ages 4–6), your athlete will focus on developing core skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense in a fun and encouraging environment. Instead of traditional games, players enjoy weekly skill sessions, a special Parent Night, and a season-ending Skills Showcase to celebrate their progress as they get ready for our Junior League.
This program is all about confidence, teamwork, and growth — giving young athletes the foundation they need to love the game and succeed as they advance.
Program Fee: $75 Members / $110 Non-Members
Participants receive: a Commemorative t-shirt, a professional action photo, and a certificate to celebrate their achievements.

Junior League (7-9 Yrs Old)
Junior League is where young athletes take their skills up a notch! This program builds on the fundamentals—dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense—while introducing players to structured game play and team strategies. Practices are designed to be active, engaging, and fun, giving participants plenty of opportunities to practice new skills in a supportive setting.
Our coaches focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and helping each player grow their confidence on the court. Junior League is perfect for kids ready to challenge themselves, play with friends, and experience the excitement of competitive basketball in a positive environment.
Program Fee: $95.00 Members / $150.00 Non-Members
Participants Receive: a professional action picture, and a league medal to celebrate their efforts and participation.
*Games will be held on Saturday Mornings

Varsity League (10-12 Yrs Old)
The Varsity League gives young athletes the chance to take their game to the next level with organized team play and healthy competition. After teams are formed and practices begin, players compete in a full game schedule guided by experienced coaches who emphasize strategy, skill development, and positive team dynamics.
The season wraps up with an exciting end-of-season playoff tournament, where teams put their growth to the test and compete for the league championship. It’s the perfect mix of teamwork, sportsmanship, and the thrill of real competition — all in the supportive environment of the YMCA.
- Program Fee: $100 Members/ $180.00 Non-Members
- Participants Receive: A team jersey, a commemorative action picture, and for the champions, a 1st place trophy. All participants are also eligible for special League Awards!
*Games will be held on Saturday Mornings
